A Spring Wedding at the Atlanta’s Swan House & Gardens
About the Swan House
The Swan House & Gardens at Atlanta History Center is one of the top wedding venues in Atlanta where you can choose to say “I do.” Couples and guests alike love this historic estate built in 1928 by Philip T. Shutze for its beautiful European architecture and lush gardens. Couples hoping to find an outdoor wedding venue with plenty of Atlanta history fall in love with the Atlanta Swan House for their wedding.
Why We Love The Atlanta History Center’s Swan House & Gardens
Honestly, what’s not to love about a wedding at the Swan House? It has nearly everything a couple could ask for and can host a variety of events. From garden weddings to black-tie ballroom affairs, this venue has it all. We have planned weddings for couples who wanted their Swan House wedding to be entirely outdoors on the Swan House grounds as well as couples who wished to have their ceremony at the Swan House and then chose to move their guests into the Grand Overlook Ballroom. Couples can choose to have their wedding ceremony in front of the fountain or on the backside of the house facing the stately columns or the romantic boxwood wall. The beautiful Boxwood Gardens serve as a great option for a cocktail hour and guests can tour the inside of the Swan House mansion for one hour during your event.
Things To Keep In Mind With Historic Venues
Historic wedding venues may have more restrictions than other wedding venues. We are very familiar with the Swan House’s policies and procedures from working with specific vendors to rain back up plans and everything in between. If you choose the Swan House for your event, we recommend working with a planner or coordinator who has done multiple events at the Swan House. You don’t want to find out that your planner didn’t know to tell the florist that they are required to treat any flowers going inside the building with a special spray to keep bugs from getting into the exhibits or that didn’t know that the lighting company they typically work with isn’t approved on the Swan House vendor list.
