5 European Inspired Wedding Venues in Georgia

Dreamy European-Style Wedding Venues Right Here in the South

Dreaming of a picturesque European destination wedding? You might be surprised that there are some of the most gorgeous European inspired wedding venues right here in Georgia!

The Atlanta History Center’s Swan House & Gardens

The Atlanta History Center’s Swan House & Gardens makes for one of the most beautiful outdoor wedding venues for your southern soiree. Construction began on this historic venue right outside the heart of Atlanta, GA, which was built for the infamous Inman family in 1926. The architect tasked with designing the Inman’s home, Philip T. Shutze, drew his inspiration for the European style Southern mansion from eighteenth-century English and sixteenth-century Italian architecture. Today, you can get married in front of the mansion’s fountain or on the opposite side of the estate facing the house’s stately columns. Your guests will be able to take in the garden’s European-inspired architecture during cocktail hour.

Montaluce Winery

If you are dreaming of saying, “I do,” in the Italian countryside, Montaluce Winery is the perfect wedding venue for you! Its Tuscan-inspired architecture is not something you would expect to see in the north Georgia mountains, but it’s proven to be a very popular Georgia wedding venue amongst couples to host their Southern wedding. With options to get married overlooking the vineyard or lake, on the terrace, or even the wine cellar, even their back up options for ceremonies impacted by rain are sure to wow your guests!

Summerour Studio

Another wedding venue that will leave you feeling as if you’ve been transported to Italy is Atlanta’s Summerour Studio. When your guests arrive at this beautiful rustic venue, they will walk through a charming Tuscan-inspired walled courtyard. The building was previously the home to Preston Rose Printing and had been in various uses since the 1920s. The building got an updated look by renowned architect Keith Summerour in 2005. Couples love the balance of the rustic charm of its exterior with its very popular warehouse-style interior.

Barnsley Gardens

Located an hour outside of Atlanta, Barnsley Gardens is ideal for couples who desire the storybook romance of a castle wedding without leaving the states. The resort’s beautiful ruins are the remains of it’s crumbling manor house. Ceremonies can be held among the ruins, or in the gardens followed
by a tented reception. This venue is perfect for an outdoor wedding in the spring or summer.

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is located just north-east of Atlanta. This magnificent 27,000 square ft. Tudor-style mansion is situated on a 12.5-acre estate of beautifully landscaped gardens and wooded grounds and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With multiple ceremony space options on-site, there is sure to be something for every couple at this wedding venue!
